Public Forum
Public Forum, which is at the start of the monthly Council meeting, provides an opportunity for anyone to speak to the Council on any Council-related topic, and for Councillors to ask questions of them.
There are three requirements for participants:
1. The topic you wish to speak about must be Council-related i.e what the Council can do itself or advocate to the central government or other organisations.
2. There is a time limit of five minutes allowed per speaker, possibly less if several speakers are addressing the same topic.
3. You must notify the Council that you wish to speak no later than 4pm the day before the meeting. Please contact the Executive Officer on 06 327 0099 or 0800 422 522.
