Enjoying Life in the Rangitikei

The Enjoying Life in the Rangitikei theme group plan is considered as part of the Leisure Plan Implementation Group agenda once every three months.
The Enjoying Life in the Rangitikei group idenfited five key issues at the conference. They are:
- Need for up-skilling communication skills within community groups and organisations
- Fragmentation and a disconnect between the towns in the district
- Population decline subsequently a decline in membership and voluntary capacity of clubs and groups
- Aging community assets that are no longer fit for purpose
- District pools are not open all year round
The actions the group is currently pursuing are intended to address these issues.
