A Strategy & Community Planning Manager position has become available within the Policy Team. This position is based in Marton.

We are looking for a Strategy and Community Planning Manager to contribute to the development and implementation of Council’s strategic framework, ensure effective engagement with the community on Council’s plans and initiatives, oversee delivery of programmes to targeted groups within the community and provide relevant and timely policy advice to elected members.

What you will bring to the position:

  • Sound understanding of strategic thinking and demonstrated application to practical solutions
  • Demonstrable skill and experience in policy development and a sound understanding of the local government legislative framework
  • Experience with the development, delivery and monitoring of diverse range of community-based social, economic, environmental and cultural programmes
  • Tertiary level Policy Qualification or other relevant discipline
