Rangitikei District Council Election Returns

Under the provisions of the Local Electoral Act 2001, all candidates in Local Government Elections must file a return of electoral donations and expenses. Pre-election Report

Section 99A of the Local Government Act requires the Chief Executive of each local authority to prepare a pre-election report, to include specified information about finances (cash flow, rates, borrowing and investments) and major projects. This information is taken from the 2015/25 Long Term Plan, the 2016/17 Annual Plan and previous Annual Reports. The Government’s intention in making this requirement is to provide information to promote public discussion about the issues facing each local authority.
