Summary of life at Green

Our region is at GREEN LIGHT because:

  • COVID-19 across New Zealand, including sporadic imported cases.
  • Limited community transmission.
  • COVID-19 hospitalisations are at a manageable level.
  • Whole of health system is ready to respond – primary care, public health, and hospitals.

General Settings

  • Record keeping/scanning required
  • Face coverings mandatory on flights
  • Public facilities (e.g. libraries, museums, public pools) – open
  • Retail (including farmers markets) – open
  • Workplaces – open
  • Education (schools, ECE, tertiary) – open

Council Services and Facilities at Green

Our Council facilities are open across the District at Green but with some restrictions in place.

Physical distancing and good hygiene is a must for the safety of our community and staff. Please follow directions and guidelines from our staff when entering our facilities.
