Applications for the Rangitīkei Youth Council 2023 are open now and we’re looking for new members! If you know someone aged 13-24 years old who wants to make a real difference in their community, encourage them to become a member of the Youth Council and make their voice heard.
As a member of the Youth Council, rangatahi will have the opportunity to:
Gain valuable governance experience to add to their CV
Expand their network
Make new friends
Build on their leadership skills
Get involved in fun projects
Make the changes they want to see in their community

About Youth Council
Established in 2019 by Rangitīkei District Council, the Youth Council offers an opportunity for youth to work alongside elected members and council, to get more involved in solving local problems and to actively engage in the community. Open to people aged 13-24 years old, Youth Council provides a platform for youth to have their voice heard and to make the changes they want to see in their community.
