Rangitikei District Council's Three-Stage Covid-19 Response Plan

Council has noticed increasing numbers of Covid-19 cases within our community. In response, Council has considered the best ways to keep everyone safe should similar patterns happen within our own workforce.
While there are very few legislated restrictions or mandates in place, we feel it is sensible to have a plan for how our operations will work if our internal staff case numbers grow along with additional measures to keep our staff and community safe and slow the spread of Covid-19 as much as possible.
Council has come up with a Three-Stage Covid-19 Response Plan which outlines what will happen if case numbers within our staff grow.
You’ll see that the plan is in three stages according to case numbers:
- Stage 1, Relaxed (grey)
- Stage 2, Ready (blue)
- Stage 3, Protect (orange)
The plan outlines our approach to each stage and covers things like operational status, physical distancing, meeting procedures, cleaning, masks, RAT’s and communications.
The plan takes effect immediately, and Rangitīkei District Council is currently in Stage 1 (Relaxed).
It is important to note that this Covid-19 Response Plan will be flexible and subject to change.
