You may notice the streetlights in Taihape are on all day today and tomorrow, while PowerCo replace the static frequency converter at the Mataroa injection plant.
By turning the streetlights on during the day PowerCo will be able to ensure the lights continue to run at night time while the replacement is completed and avoid any outages
