Region Welcomes Growth Study Findings

Industry, iwi and local government leaders welcomed the release of Central Government’s Manawatu-Wanganui Regional Growth Study.

The Study’s findings were announced by Economic Development Minister Steven Joyce, Primary Industries Minister Nathan Guy and Maori Development Minister Te Ururoa Flavell.

The report identifies eight opportunities for growing investment, incomes and employment in the region and have been prioritised in line with a mix of criteria including ease and immediacy of realisation, contribution to the region and leadership from stakeholders.
