Mangapapa River Slip

Rangitīkei District Council is aware of a slip blocking Mangapapa River upstream of where it meets the Turakina River. Horizons Regional Council is monitoring the situation, and there is no immediate risk to homes or infrastructure.

Halls for Hire

Throughout our district we have a number of halls available for hire whether it's a conference, board meeting, wedding, community event or ball.

Te Matapihi - Bulls Community Centre is equipped with the following: Hall with stage, Supper Room and includes a separate kitchen, and separate toilets.

Mangaweka Hall is equipped with the following: Hall with stage and includes a separate kitchen, separate toilets and storerooms.

Marton RSA and Citizens’ Memorial Hall is equipped with the following: Hall, Supper Room, RSA Room and includes a separate kitchen, separate change areas with showers and toilets and storerooms.

Taihape Town Hall - due to the closure of this facility this venue is no longer available for hire.

Taihape - Kokako Street Hall is equipped with the following: separate kitchen, separate toilets and storerooms.

A large outside space adjacent to the building is also available. This is fully fenced and would be ideal for children’s birthday parties.

Dudding Lake has a hall which is also available for hire via the Dudding Lake website. It has a well equipped kitchen and modern toilet facilities.

Tutaenui Hall is equipped with the following: A large main hall, well equipped kitchen (2 Stoves, microwave and fridge) separate toilets, storage space and lots of parking.

Suitable for: Weddings, birthdays, meetings, group classes, etc.
