Expressions of Interest (EsOI) Sought

Proposals will be assessed as required by the Policy on Disposal of Surplus Lands and Buildings (2015).

EsOI will not be considered unless presented on the prescribed form or which are incomplete in any respect. (RDC’s determination on admissibility of any EsOI will be binding on all parties).

RDC reserves the right to decline any or all EsOI and to negotiate with any party or parties to the exclusion of all others.

1. Commercial Property FOR SALE - Criterion Street, Bulls

Rangitikei District Council (RDC) seeks Expressions of Interest (EsOI) for the purchase of vacant land situated in the Commercial Zone at Criterion Street Bulls.

The land is sited to the rear of the Bulls Medical Centre with full frontage to Criterion Street. Title boundaries have recently been confirmed by re-survey, as indicated on the Aerial Overlay below. A separate Title will be available for settlement of the sale and purchase.

Council has resolved to weight non-financial considerations at 40% and price will be weighted at 60%.

Prospective purchasers must make themselves familiar with the sample agreement for sale and purchase.

2. Rural Property FOR SALE - Lower Tutaenui Road, Marton

Rangitikei District Council (RDC) seeks Expressions of Interest (EsOI) for the purchase of the former Marton Borough Reservoir site. Consideration may be given to EsOI for the whole or parts of the property – subject to necessary Resource / Planning Consent.

The property is sited on the West side of Tutaenui Road approximately 100 metres beyond the Marton town boundary.

Approximate land area totals 27.3800 hectares. Area of the main reservoir and spillway run-off totals approximately 1.8500 hectares; total workable land area is estimated to be up to 25.500 hectares.

Location and general view of the property are as in the Aerial Overlay below.

The dam and bund are both earth construction; no detailed investigations have been undertaken to assess these structures, the reservoir capacity, or otherwise.

The property is offered “as is” and potential purchasers must make their own assessments in every respect. RDC gives no warranties undertakings or other assurances whatsoever.
