Ngā Awa Block Maintenance

Maintenance work is taking place on the public toilet and shower facilities of the Nga Awa Block from Monday 13 April until Wednesday 22 April. During this time, the referee changing rooms will be available for use between the hours of 6:00am and 9:00pm.

Roadside Mowing Programme Back on Track

Council’s roading contractor, Higgins, is behind schedule with the roadside mowing programme in Rangitikei’s rural areas.

Ross McNeil, District Council Chief Executive, apologises for this and assures residents and the public that roadsides should start looking more respectable as Higgins catches up on this work.

“Higgins’ focus on reinstating our road network following the June floods has been commendable, but letting other important work slip isn’t an option, so extra mowers are being brought in to ensure the mowing programme is back on track as soon as possible”.
