Rugby World Cup Licencing Requirements

September 11, 2015

On Licence and Club licensed premises wanting to open outside normal hours during Rugby World Cup matches no longer need to apply for a special licence.

However, to extend their hours, licensees must take certain steps in advance and meet certain conditions.

The Premises needs to notify the District Licensing Committee and the Police at least seven days before the match, and provide a noise management plan.

The special provisions only apply to venues that will be screening world cup matches live.
