Building and Planning Consent Christmas Processing Times 2016-2017

The Building Act 2004 stops the statutory processing clock over Christmas and New Year.

The period between 20 December 2016 and 10 January 2017 is excluded from the 20 working day time-frame, which means that during these dates the processing clock stops.

Therefore any Resource or Building Consent submitted after Tuesday 20 December will not be processed until Tuesday 10 January 2017 due to the Christmas/ New Year break.

If you want your Resource or Building Consent to be processed before Christmas (barring any further information requests which stop the processing clock), it needs to be submitted by Monday 21 November 2016.
