Council is aware there is a burst water pipe in Wellington Road and staff are on their way to fix this. Water is being shut off from Hendersons Line to Crofton while this is being repaired. Affected residents may notice dirty water, so minimise the use of hot water until this is fixed. Pipes may also have to be flushed once this is repaired - run a COLD tap for 10 minutes to flush the water.
Update at 3.50pm - the pipe on Wanganui Road has now been fixed by Council staff. If you experience dirty water run your outside tap, or an inside COLD tap, for up to 10 minutes and the water should run clear. Any issues please contact the Council on 06 3270099.
