Marton Park Reserve Management Plan

The Marton Park Management Plan has recently been developed in conjunction with the community and was approved by Council on 3 November 2016. The Marton Park Management Plan provides the vision, objectives and a site plan for the future development of Marton Park. The consultation process consisted of written submissions, three Park Walks and a workshop. The majority of submissions supported the draft Plan. Community-led project groups were established, with group leaders as follows:
- CCTV - Cath Ash
- Toilets, drinking fountain - Sharon Galpin
- Fernery - Lynne Sheridan
- Cultural Pou - Nardia Gower
- Lighting of paths, trees and plants - Barry Williams
- Maunder and Oxford Street upgrades - Lynne Sheridan
- Tui Trail - Lynne Sheridan
- Fitness circuit/stations - Nardia Gower
- Paint white fence - Andy Watson
- Volleyball (somewhere in town) - Andy Watson
- ANZAC Memorial Walkway - Barry Williams
- Seating for rugby fields - Nigel Belsham
- Information boards - Cath Ash
