March 22, 2020

To protect our community and our staff we have made the decision to close some Council facilities across the District. Here are the details:

  • Marton, Taihape and Bulls Libraries will close at end of business, Monday, 23 March until further notice (our on line digital services are still available)
  • Bulls Information Centre will remain open for public transport services only
  • Youth Spaces in Marton and Taihape are closed until further notice
  • Marton, Taihape and Hunterville Pools will close at the end of business Monday, 23 March – until further notice
  • Taihape Information Centre will remain open
  • Council’s main office at 46 High Street, Marton will remain open

Where our offices remain open extra precautions will be implemented, this includes keeping a register of visitors, increased sanitising requirements, limiting the number of visitors on site at one time, and enforcing the social distancing parameters.

We will keep you updated with any changes as they occur.
