The Rangitīkei District Council covers a large geographical area in the lower/central North Island, with a population of 15,750 and 7,500 ratepayers. The Group Manager Finance & Business Support is an executive management role that leads and champions the financial, information services and strategic aspirations of Council. You will lead a small team with responsibility for Finance, Human Resources, Information Services, Health & Safety and Business Continuity Management. Your contribution to strategic goals and long-term planning will support and add value to the Council’s culture and commitment to delivering quality outcomes for its customers.

To be effective in this role, you must be an experienced and politically astute leader of corporate functions and be able to forge highly effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. Your empowering and motivating leadership style will enable you to implement and drive changes to systems and processes. The ability to lead and adapt to new technology improvements and software in a continuously changing environment will be fundamental to your success. A CA qualification or similar is required.
