Pavement testing - Broadway, Marton

Downer NZ are planning to undertake pavement testing on the roundabout located between Broadway and Wellington Road on Sunday, 19 July between 1:00pm and 5:00pm. A stop/go operation will be implemented to enable the workers to undertake the test pits on areas around the roundabout and traffic will be held for short periods at a time in each direction.

Mayor Watson agrees to salary reduction

In line with the direction given by Central Government Mayor Andy Watson has taken a salary reduction. Mayor Watson requested the reduction be deposited into the Rangitīkei District Council Mayoral Relief Fund so that it can be used to assist those in the District that have been financially affected by the recent COVID-19 pandemic and / or the recent implications from the drought that our District has suffered.
