Water restrictions remain in place for Marton and Taihape – the rest of the District is still okay, but all residents are encouraged to reduce water use.

Marton:
Dam water levels are still low and work is due to start on repairing the spill way at the dam in the next 2 – 3 weeks - Water Restriction Level One stays in place.

Taihape:
Due to very low water levels to the stream that feeds the Taihape Water Reservoir - Level One Restrictions remain in place.

Council has implemented the following water restrictions:

Level 1 - Only handheld hose watering of gardens is allowed between 4pm and 8pm, daily. There will be a complete ban on the use of sprinklers at any time of the day.

Updates will be given regularly. Further restrictions will be implemented if necessary.
