Christmas tree not to be decorated this year

Unfortunately, the traditional Christmas decorating of lights on the Norfolk pine at Marton RSA and Citizen's Memorial Hall on Wellington Road, Marton will not happen this year (2021).
When the old playground was revamped to Te Āhuru Mōwai playground, the pole with power to feed the lights was removed.
Council is working on a plan with local community groups and contractors to get power to the lights in the future.
