Celebrate the Māori New Year with displays and Whānau/Family day at our libraries from Monday 21 June – Sunday 27 June.

All libraries will host Matariki displays and Fun, including how to find Matariki/Puanga and play games or try your hand at craftwork.

Whānau/Family Days

Marton Library: June 25 - 3pm-5pm

Taihape Library: June 27 - 10am-2pm

Bulls Learning Hub: 10am-2pm

Whānau Kōrero (Story-telling Family Journeys) - Tell your/your whānau (family) story journey to tūrangawaewae (home).
Pānui Pukapuka (Picture book Reading) - ‘Rāhui’. In te reo Māori and English. Author Chris Szekely
Whakatō Kākano (Planting for the new season) - Bring and swap your own harvested seed and take a planted pot home.
Hākari (Harvest Feast) - Share a kai, pot luck lunch - donate to the food bank.
