Council offices and the Marton Community Hub will be closing at 12:30pm on Friday 19 December. If you need to come and see us for anything, please do so before then, or hold on until we reopen again on Monday. You can still call us on 0800 422 522 to log Requests for Service.

Dawn Service and Parade information for our District.

Bulls

  • A Dawn Parade from the RSA to the cenotaph starts at 5.45am and the service will begin at 6am. Following the service attendees are invited to head back to the RSA for breakfast.
  • A service will be held at 9am for Bess at Flockhouse.
  • Te Matapihi Bulls will be lit in red in commemoration.

Marton

  • A Dawn Parade from BJW Motors in Wellington Rd to the RSA and Citezins Memorial hall starts at 5.40am and the service begins at 6am. Following the service attendees are invited for breakfast inside the hall. Note – breakfast numbers are limited.

Turakina

  • A scaled back service will be held from 10am outside cenotaph on the school grounds.

Taihape

  • Due to covid-19 and limited resources unfortunately the Taihape ANZAC service will not be going ahead this year. The RSA asks that there are no flames lit at the cenotaph.
