Watermain renewal (Mataroa Road/SH1) - Taihape
Approximately 400 meters of steel water pipe is being replaced on Mataroa Road/State Highway 1 in Taihape between now and February 2025.

The work will be taking place from the intersection of Linnet Street to the Gumboot Statue (opposite The Bottle-O) and is expected to take approximately 10 weeks to complete.
During this time, there will be some disruptions to traffic and pedestrians, and there will be water shutdowns when required.
Nearby residents will be informed of any water shutdowns in advance of them happening via letter drops, and we will provide updates on our website.
