Ngā Awa Block Maintenance

Maintenance work is taking place on the public toilet and shower facilities of the Nga Awa Block from Monday 13 April until Wednesday 22 April. During this time, the referee changing rooms will be available for use between the hours of 6:00am and 9:00pm.

New Council for Rangitīkei District Council 2025-2028

Rangitīkei District Council officially welcomed its new Council on Thursday 23 October with a pōwhiri at Te Matapihi, marking the start of the 2025–28 triennium.

The ceremony brought together elected members, staff, whānau, and community representatives to celebrate the occasion and acknowledge those continuing and beginning their service to the district.

Congratulations to Mayor Andy on his fifth term as Mayor of Rangitīkei, and to both our returning and new Councillors.

Now the work begins - delivering for Rangitīkei residents and communities. In his speech, Mayor Andy reflected on the challenging environment this Council is entering with a considerable amount of reform facing the sector -"this term will be tough, but I think Rangitīkei should be proud of the strong team it has elected", says Mayor Andy.

The first Ordinary Council Meeting for the new triennium will be held in Council Chambers on Thursday 30 October.
