Takurua Rangitīkei Photo Competition

We're excited to launch Takurua Rangitīkei – Winter Through Your Lens on Monday 6 July; a photography competition celebrating the people, places and moments that make winter in our district so special.
Competition details:
You can enter up to three photos in each of our three categories (nine images in total):
- Winter Landscapes
- People, Community & Rural Life
- Hidden Gems
A $100 Prezzy Card is up for grabs for the winner of each category. There also spot prizes throughout the competition.
The overall winner for the best image will receive a Double Trouble Package from our friends at River Valley. This prize includes:
- One night's accommodation (with ensuite bathroom)
- Three-course dinner
- A drink with dinner
- A spa or sauna session
- Breakfast the following morning
Selected entries may also become part of Rangitīkei District Council's official image library, helping us showcase our district across marketing and tourism channels for years to come, with full credit always given to the photographer.
You don't need to be a professional photographer to enter. Phone or camera. Amateur or experienced. Everyone is welcome.
Whether it's a favourite sunrise, a hidden spot only the locals know, life on the farm, or a winter adventure with family and friends, we'd love to see the moments that capture the spirit of Rangitīkei.
