Mangapapa River Slip

Rangitīkei District Council is aware of a slip blocking Mangapapa River upstream of where it meets the Turakina River. Horizons Regional Council is monitoring the situation, and there is no immediate risk to homes or infrastructure.

The Rangitikei District Plan regulates land use. A number of plan changes are proposed to streamline the Plan. These changes affect issues including; liquefaction, flooding, rural setbacks, signage and zoning changes.
