Seasonal Parks Assistant ($26 to $31 Per Hour)

We are looking for a Parks Assistant to support the Parks and Reserves Team over the Spring and Summer months. You will work closely with our experienced staff to ensure our council facilities, parks, reserves and cemeteries are looking their best.

This is a full-time fixed-term role (6 months) based in Marton. Travel throughout the district will also be required.

He aha te mahi| What you will do

  • Assist in the maintenance of the Councils parks, reserves, gardens, cemeteries, sports fields, and playgrounds to the specified standards
  • Maintenance of assigned equipment to ensure it remains in good working order
  • Assist with special projects as required

Ko wai to Pukeka| What you will bring

  • Working and operational knowledge of ride on mowers and equipment necessary to fulfil the overall purpose of the role
  • Full New Zealand Driver's Licence, ideal but not necessary Class 2 or above
  • Physically fit
  • Strong team player
