Welfare & Support

There are lots of services available in the Rangitīkei District to help you access welfare and support you might need, including kai (food) pantries and government assistance.

Free kai

• Bulls Food Pantry
• Marton Churches Food Pantry
• Marton and Bulls Kai/Food Pantry
• Mokai Patea Services offer support and advice to link whānau (families) with food banks (ie. Gary, Meals on Wheels) and other supporting agencies.

Government support

• Ministry of Social Development: Access a wide range of service providers who offer assistance to individuals and families through the Ministry of Social Development's comprehensive Family Services directory.
• Work and Income: Whether you’re in need of financial support, help getting into work, or emergency housing, Work and Income may be able to support you.
