Healthy Families
The Healthy Families challenge is to encourage health promoting environments throughout the community. It aims to pull together the right mix of leadership, encouragement, information and resources to help people make healthier choices for themselves and their families.
The Healthy Families Whanganui, Rangitikei, Ruapehu is one of ten pilot initiatives in New Zealand which is modelling the “systems” approach to health promotion.
The promotion is managed through Te Oranganui with representatives from across the region, including Rangitikei District Council.
