Do you want an opportunity to step into a newly created role, and make it your own? Rangitīkei District is the place to achieve that. A Parks & Reserves Co-ordinator position has been created within the Parks & Reserves Team.

You will be responsible for the systematic management of maintenance and development of the Rangitikei District’s parks and reserves. You will need to develop a detailed programme of work, but be responsive to changes day-to-day in staff numbers, weather, community priorities and machine breakdowns. This will be the perfect opportunity to showcase your leadership and forward planning skills, in an ever changing environment.

What you will bring to the position:

  • Experience in co-ordinating and leading teams
  • Tertiary level in Horticulture or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of amenity horticulture, sports turf maintenance and arboriculture

This position will report directly to the Parks & Reserves Team Leader and is based within the Rangitikei District.

Please see Council’s Current Vacancies for a copy of the Job description. You can apply online at www.rangitikei.govt.nz: the closing date for this role is 5.00 pm on 22 March 2020.

Rangitīkei District Council’s vision is for the Rangitīkei to be A Thriving District – a place that we are all proud to call home. To make sure the District is the best home it can be, Council will ensure the costs of our core services are affordable and provide value for money, while considering ways to make projects environmentally sustainable. We are a small, flexible organisation and as staff we focus on “Working together for a better Rangitīkei” - it’s what we’re here for.
