Dawn Parade in Marton this year commences with our Parade Marshall calling “Fall in” on Wellington Road, outside BJW Motors.

The Parade will march to the Parade Ground in front of the Marton RSA and Citizens Memorial Hall in Wellington Road; a short march.

ASSEMBLE OUTSIDE BJW MOTORS - 5.35am

“FALL IN” 5.40am to march to Memorial Hall

Arrive 5.58am; Service Commences 6am

Everybody Welcome!!

The Ceremony will of course include the reading of the Roll of Honour, and our Bugler playing The Last Post, and Reveille.

Immediately after the Ceremony is over all people attending will be invited to our traditional speeches, “rum and coffee”, cuppa tea or juice, and nibbles.

Despite the best efforts of Council staff to have the Marton RSA and Citizens’ Memorial Hall upgraded in time, a technicality with the fire detection systems means that this year we will gather in Mad Toms, Lower High Street.

We apologise for this change in venue, which DOES NOT AFFECT THE MARCH, and acknowledge the support of RDC Officers and Staff to resolve this problem.

Next year we are confident that we will be back as usual inside the refurbished Memorial Hall; home of Marton RSA’s Dawn Parade for more than 50 years.

Marton RSA thanks the CEO of RDC, the Marton Scottish Pipe Band, Marton Police, Dawn Parkinson and her catering Team, Mad Toms, and all those schools, organisations and individuals who gather together each year on this memorable occasion.

We WILL Remember Them.
