Rangitīkei District Council knows how much the community values Marton Market Day.

Marton Market Day lead organisers community group Project Marton officially disbanded in late June, leaving a cloud around the future of two of Rangitīkei District's biggest events, Marton Market Day and Marton Harvest Festival.

Council is committed to the future of these iconic events. While a new group is being formed in place of Project Marton, Council will become the interim caretakers of Marton Market Day.

Planning is under way and registrations for stall holders are officially open. Applications are available on www.martonnz.com website, email events@rangitikei.govt.nz or alternatively paper registrations are available at the Council office at 46 High Street, Marton.

This year, Marton Market Day will be on Saturday 27 November 2021, traditionally boosting over 200 stalls, entertainment and ample excitement for everyone, this event is a must attend pre-Christmas shopping tradition for everyone.

Council wishes to thank the countless numbers of volunteers and staff that have supported Project Marton and the work that has been done in the community over the past years.
