Nesting Season For NZ Falcons

A pair of Kārearea/NZ Falcons living within Memorial Park Taihape, have become very territorial during the nesting season and are dive bombing local residents and their dogs walking a section of track within the Park.
As a precautionary measure, Council have erected warning signs and closed this section of walking track to minimise disturbance to the birds and ensure public safety.
The track will be reopened once the nesting season is over.
