Commemoration planting day at Marton B&C Dam

July, 2019

Around 5,000 natives have been planted around the Marton reservoir, with only another 12,000 or so to go!
Plantings are held every Wednesday at 10am. Just bring a spade and some boots. Meet over the one lane bridge at the end of Tutaenui Road- the start of Galpins Road. For more info contact Ben on 0275345698 or ben.woolston@rangitikei.govt.nz

Nothing beats the wonder on a child's face when they learn something new!
Greg Carlyon shows Elaina Welsh (9) a stoat caught in one of the traps set around the reservoir. The traps are monitored daily by a group of volunteers and so far have caught a number of stoats and a weasel.
