Tyre Recycling

Rangitīkei District Council joined the Tyrewise programme in 2024.

This programme allows residents to drop off up to five tyres at time free of charge at the Marton, Bulls and Taihape transfer stations allowing in a reduction of fly tipping of tyres around our district.

  • Tyres need to be relatively clean and de-rimmed.
  • Tyres must be whole tyres. No tyres with walls cut/removed
  • 5 tyres only per visit
  • Available at Marton, Bulls and Taihape Waste Transfer Stations only.

All other waste transfer stations will follow the usual disposal charges - see current Schedule of Fees and Charges
