Ngā Awa Block Maintenance

Maintenance work is taking place on the public toilet and shower facilities of the Nga Awa Block from Monday 13 April until Wednesday 22 April. During this time, the referee changing rooms will be available for use between the hours of 6:00am and 9:00pm.

Green waste

Green waste is only accepted at Marton, Bulls, Taihape, Rātana and Hunterville.

The Rangitikei Waste Transfer Stations will accept:

  • Sticks & Twigs
  • Grass cuttings
  • Weeds
  • Prunings
  • Leaves
  • Flowers & Plants
  • Hedge clippings

Please advise the attendant on arrival if your grass clippings have been treated with the poison clopyralid.

In order to successfully compost our green waste we cannot accept any of these items mixed in with green waste:

  • Flax, cabbage trees, palms and bamboo
  • Agapanthus
  • Gorse
  • Tree trunks
  • Branches over 250mm thick
  • Food and kitchen waste
  • Concrete and stones
  • Dirt/soil
  • Treated wood waste
  • General rubbish, including plastic waste
