Nga Awa Block Maintenance

Maintenance work is taking place on the public toilet and shower facilities of the Nga Awa Block from Monday 13 April until Wednesday 22 April.

During this time, the referee changing rooms will be available for use between the hours of 6:00am and 9:00pm.

Food Premises

When starting a food business the following items need to considered.

  • Type of food business
  • Town planning requirements
  • Plans
  • Structural requirements
  • Hygiene requirements

The food premise needs to be registered annually in accordance to the Food Hygiene Regulations 1974. The registration year runs from 1st July to 30th June.

If your food premise is a restaurant, café or takeaway outlet, you can be exempt from the Food Hygiene Regulations 1974 and adopt a Food Control Plan under the Food Act 2014. This is compulsory under the new Act which came into force on 1 March 2016. Please see our Food Act 2014 page for more details on this change.
