Water Testing Results – PFAS
PFAS Results
In November 2022 the Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules replaced the New Zealand Drinking Water Standards to specify the quality standards that need to be achieved for all drinking water supplies. Testing for PFAS levels in drinking water sources was not included in the previous NZ Drinking Water Standards but is included in the new Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules as noted in the Water Services Act.
In December 2025, water samples from the Bulls water supply were submitted to an accredited laboratory in New Zealand for PFAS analysis and returned the following results:
