Our Community House was SOLD!

December, 2019

The Community House at Walton Street, Bulls went under the hammer in early November. Michael Ford, Tania Osborne and Grant Bayley from Bayleys Real Estate kindly donated their time and skills to market and sell this great property, with the final sale price far exceeding the expectations of everyone involved.

Mayor Andy Watson thanked everyone for their generous donations of labour, materials and shear hard work to get this quality property ready for sale. “Without the generosity of local businesses, suppliers and volunteers this project would not have been as successful. I’m humbled by how many people stepped up to help out to get this property saleable. It truly was a community effort.”

Cr Jane Dunn, who worked tirelessly to get the house ready, said “I loved being involved with this project. It showed how many kind, generous people we have in our community, I’m so proud of the Bulls people and thank them very much.”

When the hammer went down on the day, the purchaser was a local Bulls resident who was very excited to buy this house and call it their home.

The house was relocated on the Walton Street site, by Central House Movers, who also generously re-roofed, painted and supplied labour and materials to get the house renovated and completed to a high standard. A new kitchen, with appliances was fitted; as well as the house being completely rewired, carpeted, painted inside and out, new plumbing, spouting, a new garage with door opener - all under the watchful eye of Merv Connolly.

The day of the auction was a beautiful clear blue sky day, with a ‘thank you’ BBQ, drinks and a final chance to look through this property before going to auction at 1pm. The house was sold on the day, for $382,000. The profits from the sale go towards funding the Bulls Community Centre.
