Waste Assessment Reports
These Waste Assessments (WA) have been prepared for Rangitīkei District Council (Council) in accordance with the requirements of the Waste Minimisation Act 2008 (WMA). The WA serves to meet Council’s obligation to evaluate and plan for waste minimisation and management in the District under the WMA.
The WA provides a 'point in time' view of Rangitīkei’s waste management systems, describing the current waste situation, setting the vision, goals, objectives, and targets for the District, and developing options for meeting future demand. With increasing challenges from extreme weather events because of Climate Change it should be acknowledged that the situation described in this document may be subject to change.
