Pavement testing - Broadway, Marton

Downer NZ are planning to undertake pavement testing on the roundabout located between Broadway and Wellington Road on Sunday, 19 July between 1:00pm and 5:00pm. A stop/go operation will be implemented to enable the workers to undertake the test pits on areas around the roundabout and traffic will be held for short periods at a time in each direction.

Rates Remission Policy

This policy remits rates under fourteen specific objectives and criteria:

  1. Rates Relief for Economic Development
  2. Incentives to address earthquake-prone buildings
  3. Rates Remission for Community, Sporting and other Not-for-Profit Organisations
  4. Rates Remission for Contiguous Rating Units Owned or Leased by a Single Ratepayer
  5. Rates Remission for Multiple Toilet Pans
  6. Rates Remission of Penalties
  7. Rates Remission on Water Rates
  8. Rates Remission on Land Affected by Natural Calamity
  9. Rates Remission on Land Protected for Natural Conservation Purposes
  10. Financial hardship or disproportionate rates compared to the value of the property.
  11. Incentivising Residential Development
  12. Rates Remission on Subdivisions for Residential Purposes
  13. Land subject to rezoning
  14. Any other matters

This policy is in addition to the statutory provisions for fully non-rateable land provided in Schedule 1 of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002.
