SH3 Rangitīkei River Bridge Maintenance

Plan ahead for three nights of STOP/GOs on the Rangitikei River Bridge starting from Tuesday 9 August, 6pm-6am each night for silt removal under the footpath. Expect delays of up to 20-minute if travelling through this area during work hours.

Follow directions by crews on-site and stick to the temporary speed restrictions through the site.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while these important works take place. In the event of bad weather, works will be carried out on the next fine day.

Temporary Road Closure: Hereford Street and Wellington Road Intersection, Marton

16 June 2022

A portion of Matai Street will be closed from 6pm to 6am on Monday 20 June 2022 for 5 days, for the purpose of asphalt works.

Wellington Road / Hereford Street intersection will be closed over night for all vehicular traffic.


Notice of Road Closure: Taraketi Road, Hunterville

10 June 2022

A portion of Taraketi Road in Hunterville will be closed from 6am to 5pm for two days, between 29th June and 8th of July to replace a power pole.


McHardies Road, Bulls

1 April 2022

Council would like to advise that Fulton Hogan will be conducting road works northwest of Bulls. There will be a road closure at the intersection of McHardies Road/State Highway 3 and Read Road/Kilkern Road/Wellington Road from Monday 4 April to Wednesday 6 April 2022. Diversions will be put in place, however drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.

Following the closure there will be ongoing traffic management and the area will be accessible to residents and workers only.

Work hours are 7am-7pm Monday to Friday and 7am-5pm on Saturdays.

Broadway, Marton

There will be road works commencing on Broadway, Marton between the hours of 6pm to 6am Thursday 31 March and Friday 1 April.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane; however some vehicle stoppages may occur from time to time.
