Election Results 2019

The final election results were declared today.

Voter turnout for the 2019 elections was 46.79%. This was a slight decrease on the 2016 elections, which was 47.86%.

The Rangitikei District Council is now made up as follows:

Mayor Andy Watson

Representing the Northern Ward - Gill Duncan, Angus Gordon, Tracey Hiroa
Representing the Central Ward – Nigel Belsham, Dave Wilson, Cath Ash, Fi Dalgety, Richard Lambert
Representing the Southern Ward – Brian Carter, Jane Dunn, Waru Panapa

Successful candidates for the Ratana Community Board were Charlie Mete, Jemal Nepia, Charlie Rourangi and Lequan Meihana.

As there were four candidates for the four positions on the Taihape Community Board Michelle Fannin, Gail Larsen, Ann Abernethy and Emma Abernethy were all elected unopposed.
