Our ward structure in 2019

The Rangitīkei District Council election will be held on Saturday 12 October (closing at 12pm – lunchtime) for the following position:

1 Mayor

5 Councillors to represent the Central Ward

3 Councillors to represent the Northern Ward

3 Councillors to represent the Southern Ward

4 Members to represent the Rātana Community Board

4 Members to represent the Taihape Community Board

NORTHERN WARD (represented by 3 Councillors)

The northern ward comprises the areas below, with the largest townships being Taihape, Managweka and Utiku.

CENTRAL WARD (represented by 5 Councillors)

The central ward comprises the areas below, with the largest townships being Marton and Hunterville.

SOUTHERN WARD (represented by 3 Councillors)

The southern ward comprises the areas below, with the largest townships being Bulls, Turakina, Koitiata and Ratana.
