SH1/SH3 Bulls to Sanson

Overview
Waka Kotahi want to make our roads safer for everyone who uses them. There’s been a high number of crashes on SH1/SH3. Between 2011 and 2020, there were 83 crashes on this 6.4 km stretch of road, resulting in 14 people being seriously injured and 23 receiving minor injuries. They want to make sure that speeds are safe and appropriate for this road, so they’re reviewing the current speed limits. They’re also designing three infrastructure improvements between Bulls and Sanson.
