District Plan

What is the District Plan?

The Council is required to prepare a District Plan under the Resource Management Act 1991. The Rangitīkei District Plan became operative on 3 October 2013.

The District Plan is the primary document that manages land use and development within the Rangitīkei District Council's territorial boundaries. The District Plan provides a single set of resource management provisions that apply to all rural and urban areas within the district territorial boundaries. Some of the provisions may affect you if you are wanting to build, subdivide or change the use of your land.
