  • Community Spatial Plan | Pae Tawhiti Rangitīkei Beyond

    Community Spatial Plan | Pae Tawhiti Rangitīkei Beyond is a spatial road map for our district. This plan will lay the groundwork for Council’s infrastructure planning and the District Plan Review which will set the development direction of Rangitīkei through to 2050 and beyond.

    The Rangitikei District Council produces Annual and Long Term Plans for the district. The Long Term Plan is a ten year planning framework and the Annual Plan is what the Council plans to do in each year.

  • Marton Industrial Development Area

    Rangitīkei District Council has adopted the Proposed District Plan Change for rezoning of approximately 217 ha of rural land at 1165, 1151 and 1091 State Highway 1, Marton. A summary of decisions requested by persons making submissions to the Proposed Rangitikei District Plan Change – rural to industrial is available. The Council has received 18 submissions. Parties had until 31 January 2020 to make further submissions.

    This Waste Management and Minimisation Plan 2025-2031 (WMMP) sets out how the Rangitīkei District Council (Council) intends to “promote efficient and effective waste management and minimisation within its district" as required by the Waste Minimisation Act 2008.
